Haberfellner stands for the purest flour and finest baked goods. The guarantee for this purity is the optimal cleaning and the continuous monitoring of contaminants, as well as the modern Sortex colour sorter. These highly technical colour selection machines record with built-in special cameras every single grain and test its surface composition. Damaged grains are fully detected automatically and removed with air nozzles. Only these machines can carefully and completely sort out before the milling process both the highly toxic ergot and grains contaminated with mould and fusaria fungi.
Whether with our upper Austrian contract farmers for our long-term project “Backfein Quality Wheat Cultivation of Upper Austria” or with our “Backfein Bakers", Haberfellner relies on quality from grains to delicious baked goods. Since the flour quality is always also dependent on the good quality of the grain, we dedicate ourselves intensively to the topic of contract farming. Wheat is preferably received from our Backfein cultivation of upper Austrian farmers. The need for more regionality and products from Austria is to be fulfilled in the best possible manner with this partnership between the 300 contract farmers, Haberfellner and our Backfein Bakers. For Haberfellner, regionality is an "enjoyment factor” that one can taste.
